By sharing our passion for dance and positive encouragement our dedicated teachers build confidence, develop creativity and help each individual feel special, whether you want to dance professionally or as a hobby.

With Small Class sizes, Personal Achievement Books, Growth Mindset and regular Parent Presentations you can be assured that your child will be bursting with confidence.

Why choose us?

Small Classes with a maximum of 15 pupils per class – we believe that every pupil should receive the quality attention they deserve.

Personal Achievement Books – this is a book that Miss Sally devised herself to help to encourage self-belief. The book contains a page per level /grade which grows with your child. As they achieve a certain element / goal they will receive a sticker to place in the relevant box. This is a great way for to keep up with their progress. And encourages them to show you what they have achieved.
Once they have filled the full page, your child will receive a ‘well done you’ve done it’ gift.

Growth Mindset – we incorporate positive mindset into our classes to help each child grow as an individual and skills that will carry them through their life.

What’s App group & YouTube Playlist – each class has a what’s app group and Youtube playlist, where we share videos of the steps and routines so that you can either catch up if you’ve missed or just practise to. 

Professional and Passionate Staff – Sally Wragg the Owner and Principal of Dronfield Dance & Theatre Academy, trained to a professional standard in both performance and teachers examinations in all four core subjects, all held within the IDTA including her Fellowship examinations. She has over 25 years of teaching experience including coaching for theatre school preparation and teacher training.

At DDTA we have a thorough knowledge of Dance and Fitness and are continuously training in order to keep up to date with new techniques, dance styles and of course, the times. Our high standard of training and knowledge allows us to ensure that each and every pupil is trained to a high standard in a safe, friendly and nurturing environment. All our teachers are passionate and dedicated to teaching and encouraging each individual to reach their full potential.

School Show – every two years we encourage all pupils (from age 4 to adult) to take part in our production at the Pomegranate Theatre, Chesterfield. This is a great experience for all who takes part and an opportunity for the school to help raise funds for local children’s charities.

Parents Peace of Mind – all staff are DBS checked and trained in safe guarding and first aid.

Student Helpers – in the younger classes we also have student helpers to assist the teacher. These are the older pupils of the school who dedicate their free time to assist and support all the children especially those who are shy or show nervous tendencies.
